CAUSES OF BREAST SAGGING

THE BREAST LIFT SURGERY PROCEDURE

• Anesthesia: The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia.
• Incisions: The type of incision will depend on the degree of sagging and the desired outcome. The incisions are usually made around the areola, vertically down from the areola to the breast crease, or both.
• Removal of excess skin: The surgeon will remove excess skin and reshape the remaining tissue to lift the breasts and tighten the skin.
• Repositioning of the nipple: If necessary, the nipple and areola will be repositioned to a higher, more youthful position.
• Bandages: The breasts will be wrapped in a bandage or surgical bra to support the new shape.

RECOVERY AFTER BREAST LIFT SURGERY

• Pain and discomfort: Some pain and discomfort is normal after the procedure, but it can be managed with pain medication prescribed by the surgeon.
• Swelling and bruising: Swelling and bruising are common after the procedure, and usually subside within a few weeks.
